   Eds: Here is a preliminary listing of San Diego, Vista and El Cajon court
hearings for June 3-7. The items are being provided to assist in your
planning. Please note that several cases may be listed on some court calendars
at the same time; the judge determines the order in which they will be heard.
The items will be included on the daily budgets and are subject to revision.

   8:15 a.m. SAN DIEGO - A felony disposition conference is scheduled for
Kenney W. Foster, a North County resident accused of scamming senior citizens
into buying bogus home health-care insurance policies. Dept. 30, San Diego

   /// 8:30 a.m. SAN DIEGO - A status hearing is scheduled for Jose Emilio
Gonzalez, a piano teacher accused of molesting three of his young female

   /// 8:45 a.m. SAN DIEGO - Sentencing is scheduled for Juan Manuel Garcia, a
parolee who led police on a stolen car chase which ended in a crash that

   /// 9 a.m. SAN DIEGO - Jury selection is scheduled for Calvin Parker, who
is accused of killing his female roommate, cutting off her fingers and

   Tuesday

   8:30 a.m. CHULA VISTA - A felony disposition conference is scheduled for
Herminio Quinonez-Pedroza, who is accused of shooting his estranged wife in a
shopping center parking lot after they attended a hearing in family court.

   8:30 a.m. EL CAJON - A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Denise Martin,
an Alpine woman accused of fatally shooting her husband of 28 years. Dept. 11,

   8:30 a.m. SAN DIEGO - A readiness conference is scheduled for Gilbert
Harrison. The former Navy pilot from Scripps Ranch is accused of molesting
four Colorado boys who came to visit to visit him. Dept. 31, San Diego County

David Westerfield, who is accused of kidnapping and killing 7-year-old

   Wednesday

   9:30 a.m. VISTA - A status conference is scheduled for Darren Dean Host, an
ex-con accused of breaking into a Rancho Santa Fe home, then trying to run
down two sheriff's deputies in a getaway vehicle. Dept. 5, North County

   /// 2 p.m. SAN DIEGO - A Superior Court arraignment is scheduled for Hugo
A. Jiminez and Brian Aquino, who are accused in the shooting death of a 19-

   Thursday

   /// 1:15 p.m. SAN DIEGO - A judge is expected to announce verdicts in trial
of a lawsuit filed by the state Attorney General's Office, alleging that the
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco company is illegally targeting teens in its magazine
advertising campaigns to promote cigarette smoking. Dept. 69, San Diego County

   2 p.m. SAN DIEGO - An identification hearing is scheduled for Amr ``Tony''
Elgindy and Troy M. Peters. Elgindy, a San Diego-based stock analyst, and his
associate are charged in New York with using their clout on the Internet to
influence the collapse of stocks, paying FBI agents to give them negative
information on companies, then allegedly extorting money from executives.

   8:30 a.m. SAN DIEGO - A readiness conference is scheduled for John Anthony
Saunders, a homeless man accused of killing another transient with a 2-by-4
during an argument over a blanket at a makeshift encampment. Dept. 31, San

   9 a.m. SAN DIEGO - Trial is scheduled for Terry Lewis Hall, a Navy man who
allegedly told police he killed his wife because she was cheating on him, then
shot himself in the back of a police car as he was transported to jail. Dept.
