3-7. The items are being provided to assist in your planning. Please note that
several cases are listed on some court calendars at the same time; the judge
determines the order in which they will be heard that morning. These items

   8:30 a.m. BEVERLY HILLS - A preliminary hearing is scheduled for actress
Winona Ryder, who is charged with grand theft, commercial burglary, vandalism
and possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested last Dec. 12

lawsuit filed by sports agent Thomas Tanzer against the Colorado Rockies. The

   8:30 a.m. CIVIC CENTER - A hearing on possible dismissal is set in a
lawsuit filed by the Los Angeles Police Relief Association against its former
head. The suit alleges that Ramona Voge took personal and confidential LAPRA
documents with her when she was fired in January 2001, and disclosed some of

   8:30 a.m. POMONA - A hearing is set in the case of the so-called ``Rappin'
Granny,'' 79-year-old Geneva Burger. She sued hip hop star Master P for using
an unauthorized sound clip of her making a comment about marijuana as the
introduction to the song ``No Limit'' on the 1998 album ``Skys the Limit'' by
the artist Magic. A jury found in favor of Master P in April, but Burger is

lawsuit filed against The Walt Disney Co. by Regina Patino, who alleges she

P by a post-production company. The suit alleges the rapper bilked Ntropic out

   8:30 a.m. CIVIC CENTER - A hearing is set in a lawsuit filed by the widow
of George Harrison against the ex-husband of her sister. The suit alleges Carl
Roles stole property from the Harrisons in the 1970s when he was house-sitting
for them, and claims Roles is trying to sell the property in the wake of the

is charged in a crash that seriously injured an elderly couple near the

   8:30 a.m. CIVIC CENTER - A trial date is scheduled to be set for Damascio
Ybarra Torres, who is accused of shooting three doctors and holding several

for Man Duong, who is accused in the strangulation of his girlfriend's 18-
year-old daughter. The teen's body was found in a closet under some clothes.

Robles, who is charged with attempted murder in a gang-related shooting that

a terminally ill Montebello man accused of drug charges for growing marijuana

against Los Angeles County by Crystal Brant and four other former foster
children. The plaintiffs allege the county ignored allegations the children
were abused and neglected because their foster mother was prominent and
